Apply for Free and Reduced-Price School Meals Online

note - Portland SD 1J is the district's name on the state list

 

Your children may qualify to receive free or reduced-price school meals. Students in all grade levels from pre-K through high school are eligible if your family meets the income guidelines.

Students who are eligible for free and reduced-price meals may also be eligible to receive fee reductions or waivers for other services if you print, sign and submit the "Permission to Share" form. Eligibility for free and reduced price meals may improve your child's status in the School Choice lottery.
NOTICE - You must give signed permission to use free and reduced eligibility status by checking box #11 (transfer to a school of choice) on the 3rd page of the 4-page application below.

 

How to print and submit a paper copy of the meal application

Applications may be printed by clicking on the links below. Use the application checklist to make certain that you are completing all of the necessary information. Submit the completed application to your school office or mail it to: Portland Public Schools Nutrition Services, PO Box 3107, Portland OR 97208-3107 

You may submit a new application at any time during the school year if your income changes. Call our central meal application office at (503) 916-3402 for information regarding Free and Reduced Price Meal Applications.

Nutritious, convenient, low-cost school meals are available daily.

K-8 breakfast = $1.00, High School breakfast = $1.25, Reduced-price $ .00

NEW! The Oregon Legislature provided funding to eliminate the reduced-price payment for school breakfast. Effective for the 2009-10 school year, breakfast will be accessible at no charge to students who qualify for reduced-price lunches.

K-5 lunch = $2.20, 6,7,8th lunch = $2.45, High School lunch = $2.70

Use MyLunchMoney.com to make online payments to your student's meal account. There is a $1.95 transaction charge per deposit per school. You will need your child's Student ID number which can be found on his or her fall registration form or report card.

Please remember to deposit adequate funds in your child's personal meal account on a regular basis. Bring check or cash prepayments to your school cafeteria or use MyLunchMoney.com to make online prepayments.
